  1. @whattheFUE first off, great handle name!

I dont disagree with what you are saying mate, I have been using this forum since maybe 2009 and have watched it go through all kinds of phases. As I started re-lurking again a few months ago (haven't been active since 2016) I noticed many of the old school popular users such as Spex, Joe etc not appearing. To be honest they are becoming redundant as there is so much information now available compared to 10 years ago, YouTube, new techniques, new clinics, new forums etc etc. We don't need their newest "eBook" or whatever they are trying to market these days online.

Having been a paid rep myself I literally trust less than 5% of the industry with some of things I had experienced behind the scenes. So some of these guys never really had your best intentions at heart.

Compared with most forums HRN is one of best still in terms of patient posting, there are many surgeons on here whom are recommended that I personally believe are way behind the 8 ball in terms of technique and results, but hey, I don't run this place.

  2.

I feel for you man, I do!Certainly could be a case of transection in some areas. Your pre op photos have fairly dark lighting, then post op looks like you're in the white room with Neo and Morpheus looking for guns. Even guys with non MPB would look thin in these conditions. The work looked super tight throughout the very frontal hairline maybe some grafts did not make it for the ride. At 8 months you'd assume to be further along really.

Regarding the Minox usage and ceasing for the 6 week period, no way would that have caused this issue unless those hairs were so dependant on the medication the entire time you have been using it. Which to be real is like zero percent.

  3. Hey Baracuda

Sorry to hear of your struggles with hair loss at Such an early age. The positive is that you have commenced medications and planning for future loss with what seems to be realistic goals in mind. As mentioned age isn't always the end note for a procedure and in your case hanging on a little longer with meds might not change the overall outcome. My procedure with Dr Rahal was roughly around your age all i would not consider myself to be young at the time. You've mentioned some really great physicians can i ask if you have consulted with any of the clinics as yet mate?

  4. Hi Sharkman

I am very sorry to hear of your experience, truly!

I would be very interested to see some post op and pre op photos if you have any available? As many stated is difficult to comment on your situation without having seen it.

I am happy to notify the clinic or at least make them aware of this post/thread.

If you could supply photos would be much appreciated. Dr Rahal is a very ethical physician as I wasn't present during your conversation with him I can only assume he could not "ethically" waste too many valuable Grafts in one session depending on your expectation.

    Cheers

  5. Mate sorry to hear of your troubles!

I was and sometimes resort back to ocd type behaviours which is actually quite normal for hair loss sufferers.

I tried many alternatives to medication which never worked, it is a form of body dismorphia...google if not aware of this condition. I actually snapped out of it when I realised that I should be thankful for what I have and not what I wont in the future (if it happens)

Always happy to talk about my experiences with you just shoot a pm.

    Mike

  6. Mate you're in the best hands literally!

    I am biased though!

33 days is plenty mate but as mentioned it is likely your scar may be somewhat healing still so don't expect a full recovering miracle by that time, nobody is likely to notice if you play it right.

If you need any tips or support hit my email mate happy to have a chat pre and post op!

    Mike

  7. I would always say to be flat out honest with loved ones, girlfriends or new partners are up in the air and really is up to how comfortable you are with them. I was with my current partner for only one year prior to my procedure and was quite forthcoming about the whole process, she took it well and is a lot younger than myself.

    It's definitely a personal Preference.

    Good luck brother!!
