  1. Hi Delicio,

I'm not qualified to make comments or suggestions, but I can assure some of the more knowledgeable members will respond. All I can say is hang in there as there are always options. I can imagine how depressing this can be for you, but it helps to know you are not alone. Just wait a bit and I'm sure you will get some good advice. You have come to the right place!

    Good luck to you.

  2. wb280,

It is Lambo Gallardo, got a year and a half ago and it almost cost me my marriage! Never told the wife till it was ordered and on its way. I knew she would flip if I told her ahead of time. Big risk, but it worked out OK. That thing is more fun than any man should be aloud to have!

  3. My doctor did the strip removal and close up, and all the rest was done by his technicians. So far (5 weeks after) I have no complaints. I know his reputation is on the line and I am sure if he entrusted the graft planting to technicians he must be confident in their abilities.

It bothered me a little at first, but then I learned that the technicians do nothing but the separation and planting. That is all they do all the time. They must be better than the doctor with so much experience. I just think of them as specialists.

There are doctors that do it all, but that could be extremely fatiguing. I now think it is a good thing to have a team.

  4. No I think he means pain. I'm almost 4 weeks PO and I still have pain or maybe a better word would be tenderness. I was just thinking the same thing, why is this still tender?

I have plenty of numbness above the donor site, but I still have trouble when sleeping trying to find a place for the pillow that doesn't hurt.

  5. I asked the same question before my surgery. You will find a wide range of answers on this but from my experience I would say 10 days PO is a good marker. I started back at 7 days doing very light exercises and nothing laying down. No bending over and no straining.

I slowly ramped up from there and now at 3 weeks PO I am back to 100% doing just about everything.

    Good luck!

  6. What I have a hard time understanding is when someone describes "shedding".

What is SHEDDING? It sure must mean something different to everyone. I read a post where I young man described his shedding as losing 9 or more hairs after a shower. Geez, I have been losing 20 or more one regular basis for years and I'm not close to bald. I thought that was normal?

Can anyone tell me what is considered normal?

  7. Gd question. i used to stretch quite a fair bit before i work out but i dare not do any neck stretching or forward bends for nearly 1mth post op.

    Anyone has any comments?

Same as above. I do lots of warm up prior to my workout, but I am very careful not to stretch the neck or do anything that might stress the donor site.

I make sure I keep my chin up at all times. I started back working out on day 8. I kept it very light. I'm now at almost 100% on day 19.

    Good luck!
