  1. it's my decision on who I feel confident with and who I choose to go with for a HT. Thanks to Payam's post I wont ever be considering Dr, Koray as it was a real eye opener. And while no doctor has a 100% success rate there's some doctors out there who are willing to put their money where their mouth is by offering some sort of warranty incase the HT doesn't go according to plan. Far better than having Dr. Koray's assistants work on me while he supervises from an office chair looking at a television screen!
  2. Could you please reveal the names of the two surgeons you intend on visiting this year? Btw really sorry to know about your results as I was thinking about visiting Dr. Koray but after reading your post I am definitely staying away!
  3. If you read the OP's message the headaches were in relation to using Finasteride and Headaches and not Headaches by itself which is a cause of concern so please in the future read before writing.
  4. Thanks for your replies guys, much appreciated!
  5. Just curious to know at what area should a doctor strip donor hair from the side ear region? I have attached a photo where the scar is seen in this area. Afterall, in the years to come won't hair from that area eventually fall due to the normal hair loss pattern which will result in a massive scar visible to all? Your thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks
  6. Bill, Also please note the front hair you see is all my natural hair that I had prior to my transplant as the video clearly shows. My main point of concern is the midscalp region where the hair is far less than what it used to be. While one could blame the natural balding process, I don't see any growth from hair that has been transplanted in this region. The transplant has accelerated my hair loss more than anything.
  7. Bill, Here's a photo showing my results where my hair isn't as 'messy'. Thanks, Gat
  8. Bill, Here's a video of me prior to my transplant. Hope this helps. Gat
  9. Bill, Thanks for the reply. Appreciate it. Gat
  10. Bill, I was referring to this post. I got the name wrong then when it came to the 'X factor ' rather than the 'H Factor' as thats what I thought I heard when speaking to Dr Madhu over the phone. Thanks, Gat
  11. bill, I was only posting my views on what I felt was adding to the thread and thus educating people. However I shall post in my own thread from now on and for your information while my thread has been discussed there is room for further discussion. Also I find it very confusing that you seem to be very selective in your responses for when I have asked you specifically in my thread certain questions you tend not answer where it feels like to me you don't want to discuss it because you're trying to hide something but yet you seem like an expert with your opinions on everything else.
  12. When I had my transplant Dr Madhu was around during the first 15 minutes of the surgery, then it was his attendants who took over and by attendants I mean nurses. He only came in to supervise every now and then and also during the last 15 minutes of the transplant it was just his nurses who were attending to me. It seems that Dr Madhu charges extra for his presence and yet he is isn't fully present when you pay for his services, strange.
  13. It does lean towards the fact that he has become money minded rather than looking at the overall well being of the patient especially after completing my transplant with him I was told that I have about 1400 grafts left and that I could have another transplant within the next 6 months if I wanted. Any reasonable ethical doctor would make you wait for at least a year before making such a suggestion. When I brought this up on my post he changed his wording and mentioned that what he did say was he would assess my hair first and then make a decision which is completely false. Even if this was true 6 months is way too early considering that I only have 1400 grafts and I am in my early 30's!
  14. It makes my blood boil when these results happen and the doctor says that it is external factors that are to blame. I know from first hand experience that Dr Madhu didn't give me the results I was expecting as patches that were present before my hair transplant became more evident after my hair transplant and never grew 1 year after the transplant. When I addressed this with Dr Madhu I receive a call from him to tell me that I am an 'X factor' patient which means that hair transplant does not work on everyone and I happen to be one of those patients. Well I don't buy that story for I think it is a poor excuse on his part for doing a poor job. And the moderators of this site who stand by Dr Madhu beats the whole purpose of this site for anyone who complains about a doctor recommended here is always made to feel that the patient is in the wrong and the doctor is always right. Well one day I shall have a transplant with Dr Hasson or Dr Wong and then lets see whether I am as Dr Madhu puts it an 'x factor' patient or not.
  15. Bill, I am willing to get in touch with Dr Madhu over the phone and skype sounds a good idea too. You have misunderstood what I meant when I mentioned that I used to call his clinic in the past. By 'past' I meant 3 to 4 months after the transplant and not recently such as the in last 6 weeks or so. Also in all fairness you seem to be accusing me of begrudging Dr Madhu over him not receiving my emails yet you don't mention anything when he is begrudging me of not sending him an email when I did reply on 31/08/12. We are now getting in touch over Skpye or a phone call but for the benefit of all lets keep things fair here. Regards, Gat
