If you want say a 4500 graph procedure..How does the Dr. know how big of a strip to take out? Do they guess the density per sq.cm. do some math and remove a strip with a width and length that adds up? -

I have some hair in the front of my head and if I were to get some graphs in the front is it necessary to shave the area? I see most photos with the recipient area shaved. But if I could keep the hair I can conceal the area. Does shaving provide a better chance for survival? make it easier for the Dr. to operate?

Thanks for the tips guys!! So in these Mega sessions of 5000 and more does the surgeon takes the graphs with 3 or more and split them up to get to 5000 right? Certainty they dont get 5000 graphs/units out do they?

If you have say a 5000 graph mega session how wide and long of a strip do you need to provide? Obviously it varies and depends on denisity but on average how big is the strip thanks!!

I can understand 2 hair graphs and obviously 1 hair graphs. But with limited donor hair available it seems you would want to separate and spread out the 3 and certainly the 4 hair follicle graphs? wouldn't it be ideal to have all 1 or 2 hair graphs?

With a mega session of 4000-5000 taking anywhere from 8-10 hours how long can the donor hair be exposed before it starts to die? I have heard 6 hours? Can anyone SHED some light?
