Regular Member buccap Posted May 3, 2008 Author Regular Member Share Posted May 3, 2008 Hi, I don't have pictures. In fact, I don't even know how to download them, but I'm curious as to why members on this board would refute the recomendations from my consult of one of the highly reguarded and recommended surgeons on this site? I was also told that my total coverage would be over 4000 hairs that includes the crown.

Senior Member Dewayne Posted May 3, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted May 3, 2008 In a previous post, your doctor's estimate looked like 2200 grafts, which is likely more than 4,000 hairs. And, it's also possible you aren't a NW 4, or have good hair characteristics or color, etc. If Dr. True has seen you in person, then I would take his opninion over ours, as we've never seen evan a picture of your head. 100? Bill - Seemiller
buccap, It would probably make things easier if you stick to the same post since you are discussing the same thing. Click here to view my reply. Best wishes, Bill

You posted some data and I provided feedback. Having said that, it is impossible to estimate what you need without pictures. I suspect you are showing a slight NW-4 pattern with a lot of native hair left - thus the need for such a small number of grafts. To contrast that, I am also a NW-4, but have little native hair left. I needed 3700 grafts - all in front. ____________ 2700 Total Grafts w/ Keene 9/28/05 663 one's = 663 1116 two's = 2232 721 three's = 2163 200 four's = 800 Hair Count = 5858 1000 Total Grafts w/Keene 2/08/07 Mostly combined FU's for 2600+ hairs My Photo Album See me at Dr. Keene's Gallery
Regular Member buccap Posted May 3, 2008 Author Regular Member Share Posted May 3, 2008 Hi guys. I know I ask a lot of questions, and I'm really not trying to be difficult, but I have seen three surgeons and I got different procedure outcomes and estimates from each one. Now that I've got my choice zeroed down to one particular Dr. I've now taken another step by asking input from this forum. I guess that I should have been clearer with my questions or shown pictures because there's no way you could give me any objective feedback without that information. However, the feedback that you gave me was very informative. For instance, I've learned that all class 4's are not alike. Comparing my class 4 with Gorpy's is like comparing lemons and oranges. There really is no comparison in our balding patterns, hair texture, and hair color, but that's what I was classified as during my consultations. So now I can see why it would take less to fulfill my goals. Now it's just my personal choice of should I have the procedure done or not? By the way Gorpy, your procedure came out very nice
Senior Member Gorpy Posted May 4, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted May 4, 2008 Thanks Buccap, Good luck with your procedure if you decide to go forward with it. Dr. True does some very nice work. ____________ 2700 Total Grafts w/ Keene 9/28/05 663 one's = 663 1116 two's = 2232 721 three's = 2163 200 four's = 800 Hair Count = 5858 1000 Total Grafts w/Keene 2/08/07 Mostly combined FU's for 2600+ hairs My Photo Album See me at Dr. Keene's Gallery
Bill - Seemiller
Buccap, Don't worry, we don't think you are being difficult. You have every right to ask your questions . It's just easier when we stick to one thread for the same topic, but no worries! As Gorpy said, without seeing pictures, we couldn't tell you however, it sounds like what I said on another thread and what Gorpy said here may be accurate. You may have a norwood 4 pattern with a lot of native hair left, hence the possible need for few grafts. Feel free to use our animated graft calculator which can be used as a guide - but should never replace an actual surgeon's estimate. Best wishes, Bill
