Regular Member noobineub Posted July 25, 2007 Regular Member Share Posted July 25, 2007 (edited) Hi guys, I recently had a HT. This would be my fifth day post op. I only had some work done on my temples. My question is this, although I have slightly longish hair that if styled properly could hide it, the post HT 'stubble look' sometimes peeks through. I was wondering if I could use an electric shaver and just shave the new HT hairs quite close to the skin so it looks a bit more 'natural'. Would that damage my HT hairs or have any side effects in any way? Thanks in advance for your time guys. Edited May 11, 2012 by noobineub
Guest
At 5 days post op I would treat those grafts very gently & would not risk yanking them out with a razor! I say no. That is the safe answer. But you should ask your Doctor.
Bill - Seemiller
I see no reason to cut the grafts since they are already going to be short. Grafts are completely secured by 10 days, however, it's advisable not to get a haircut for a month on the top of your head. Bill
