Regular Member joachim Posted November 11, 2003 Regular Member Share Posted November 11, 2003 Hello my friends and heroes. I have been following these forums anonymous for some time now and I consider the thoughts and advise of most of you guys the best support one can get and a natural complement to myown "hair"research. I am a in my late twenties and suffer from a recessive hairline but since the rest of my hair is dark and thick the hairline issue is quite obvious for the open eye. Most of you guys have stabilized your hairloss with propecia/ proscar or advodart and since I value your opinion, I really would like to know your thoughts about your own future medical treatment. Therefore the questions stated below will be concerning the more subtle side effects and not the more obvious ones i.e. initial shedding, sexual sideeffects, prostate ache etc.. 1. How do feel about knowing that this type of treatment is never to end, when are you going to draw the line? Say that you undergo a HT, would you then carry on this treatment for rest of its effective days? ( I dont mean to provocative but I am just having a hard time motivating for myself a lifetime regime) 2. Some post have been concerning the diminishing effects of long term usage of propecia/ proscarand such effect would put you in a rather difficult situation, how do you plan to deal with it? 3. I know that the alternatives are few (bruce willis-style) and that most of you guys will recomend a year of evaluation with Propecia but please stop for a second and think if it have been fruitful in your own case or have the costs been to high (side effects etc..). 4. If someone of you guys have been suffering from acne (above average) during your puperty, have the acne reappered during your medical treatment? Thanks a lot everyone not just for taking the time thinking about my questions, but for your involvement to this forum. //J

Senior Member Joe HT Posted November 11, 2003 Senior Member Share Posted November 11, 2003 I agree. I would've liked to have known about this place before my surgery (not to say I'm unhappy, it's way to early to tell). Just to be more educated going in. The support for a man here is second only to the jockstrap.
Guest
hopefully acceptable results can be achieved with one or two ht's,and the surgical route is done.as far as propecia/proscar,we all brush our teeth and use deodarant daily,so whats an extra pill along with your vitamin once day for the rest of your life.in the time it took you to read this you could have taken your propecia,it's that easy.
