Regular Member htfm Posted February 21, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted February 21, 2006 How long would be a good time to wait after HT before one gets back to daily exercise routine? Dr's. say wait 2 weeks and then go back to normal. My main concern is not to stretch the scar in the donor area. What about chlorine affecting the transplanted hair? Any thoughts. Thanks,

Senior Member hairbank Posted February 21, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted February 21, 2006 There are several previous threads on this so I suggest you use "Find" and do a search. You'll find a lot of helpful information. You're right, after 2 weeks grafts will be seated and not be a problem. I just had an HT 6 days ago and plan to wait 1 month before starting any exercising. Some people start light workouts sooner than that but I'd hate to chance it. I imagine it varies with the type of exercise. For instance............cardio is probably less stressful to the donor scar than lifting heavy weights............I don't know that for fact, it's just a guess so maybe others will chime in here. Everyone's a little different on this but in the end I would tell you better safe than sorry. You want your scar to be as thin as possible so give it plenty of time.
