Guest dr siporin
Patient is a 27 year old Asian male, Norwood type III with the goals of restoring a more youthful and natural permanent hair line. The patient had some miniaturization in his donor area, approximately 5%, and was warned that those hairs would not survive the transplant. Patient has been advised to take propecia, and massage 5% minoxidil into his scalp. Patient opted for a strip excision which was performed with no tricophytic closure, as the patient will not wear his hair short, and a second procedure may be performed, based on preoperative discussions. 891 one hair grafts were place with a .75 mm blade, to create a natural and ethinic appropriate hairline, following his very unique angles and direction. The one hair grafts extended from temporal peak to temporal peak, and the one hair grafts extended approximately one cm posteriorly. 991 two hair grafts were place into 20 guage needle sites. Only 90 three hair grafts were place, and these were placed in the posterior frontal forelock area of the midscalp Total 1992 grafts. Post op care to include LLLT, and topical minoxidil, starting one week post op.
Senior Member thanatopsis_awry Posted June 29, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted June 29, 2009 This should really give him a nice, dense look! What's the deal w/ the LLLT -- is this his own device he is using, or does he undergo treatments w/ a professional device that your clinic uses? ----------- *A Follicles Dying Wish To Clinics* 1 top-down, 1 portrait, 1 side-shot, 1 hairline....4 photos. No flash. Follicles have asked for centuries, in ten languages, as many times so as to confuse a mathematician. Enough is enough! Give me documentation or give me death! Senior Member PLEASE GROW PLEASE Posted June 29, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted June 29, 2009 Siprin has come to the defense of lasers before so I would guess its from his clinic. Pretty sure he has one . Most clinics has thrown them away but he must believe in them. There were at least 20 laser clinics here in 2007 Not one of then remain open As far as the patient 1900 in that area should look good if it all grows
