I thought FUE was best?

If someone is trying to sell that to you, they are shills.

Fue is (generally) Inferior in terms of growth compared to strip. It is also vastly more expensive. The only two benefits of fue is that the scar is much more undetectible, and the downtime/recovery time is also much lower.

11/04-07 - 800-1600 ish grafts - danish clinic - poor results

12/02-08 - 2764 grafts - Dr. Devroye - good result but needs hairline density

03/12-10 - 1429 grafts - Dr. Mohmand - result pending

FUE is a very time-consuming and delicate surgery. It is therefore more expensive and places limitations on graft counts. The benefit for some people is that the scarring are tiny dots as opposed to a linear scar which may allow for very close shaving of the head. However, with a strip scar, if done right, you can still buzz your hair fairly close without it being detectable.
