Senior Member dakota3 Posted April 23, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted April 23, 2009 during the sheeding process will the thinngin on my crown area become more noticable?? Yes it could! Not definatley though. You may also want to look into finesteride. <<"Propecia"
Senior Member kaounis Posted April 23, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted April 23, 2009 At 22 you are a great candidate for propecia, it is primarily designed for the crown I think you would be better off with fin than rogaine. Just a thought from the peanut gallery...
Senior Member Marvin Posted April 23, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted April 23, 2009 Don't worry about shedding. If you don't take finasteride, you are going to lose that hair anyway.
Senior Member imissthebarber Posted April 24, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted April 24, 2009 I know your situation seems tough right now. Do your research carefully about finasteride because although lots of people report using it with no problems you will find some who are worried about side effects. As a short term measure you might want to try using a concealer like dermmatch or nanogen (similar is Toppik). This can be quite effective in areas where there is still some hair. Most people don't want to be permanently dependent on these products but they can help.
