Regular Member Daniel2727 Posted April 15 Regular Member Share Posted April 15 Just quick to confirm: after the first days and in the following weeks post surgery, the inserted grafts (if they are connected to the blood system and are not weakened to much by the procedure) are growing right? I am wondering about the well-known phenomenon that the grafts first create thick terminal hair as if nothing had happened and then only after a few weeks, the shedding takes place and the grafts realize that they were outside the body for some hours. Moderators Al - Moderator Posted April 15 Moderators Share Posted April 15 Shedding hair after a hair transplant is normal and it does generally start to happen a couple of weeks after the transplant. This is the process for stress induced hair loss even if it weren't a hair transplant. If you get very sick you could experience hair loss. It will happen a few weeks afterwards. This happens with some women after pregnancy also. A couple of weeks afterwards they may experience some hair loss. So it doesn't only occur due to hair transplants.
