Losing Hair When i Shampoo It

Recommended Posts

Hello guys. This forum seems a great place. Everyone seems really helpful so I thought I would ask for some advice..

I had 5200 grafts done in June 2023, almost 10 months ago. I am really pleased with the results, exept I am noticing more and more loose hairs in my hands when I wash it. I use "Kloraine - Strength, Thinning, Hair Loss" shampoo.

I did not notice any hair loss during the first 6 or 7 months. Then I started noticing 1 or two strands in my hands. Now, it is more like 10 to 20 strands every wash. I suspect this is my native hair, more so than the transplanted hair, but I cannot be sure. I'm still trying to work it out. I also do not know if it is making that much difference to the overall result so far. As it stands so far, if what I have now was the end result i'd be very pleased. But of course, I am worried that losing some hairs every wash this will eventually result in a fail.

I'm not on any meds. I have sensitive skin and I'm convinced Minoxidil will cause me problems. Similarly, I am convinced Finasteride will cause hormonal issues for reasosn I don't really want to go into. So, I'm just going at this without meds and hoping for the best. I only take Biotin, Collagen, Calcium, Magnesium Zinc and some other health supplements and vitamins

You might be thinking some pictures would help. I'll try and get some pics tomorrow. The surgeon was Dr Kaya in Istanbul. To be fair, I believe they did a good job. I was treated well. The results have been good so far. I cannot fault them based on my knowledge of the procedures and my experience so far. I guess if this doesn't work out well then it is nobodys fault as far as I know of.

So my long-winded question is, Is it normal to lose 10 to 20 hairs per wash at this stage?  I'm hoping this will just settle down somehow, not get any worse. Idk if there's anything I can do about it, or just take it as it comes... Any advice would be appreciated

Please allow me to first say a big congrats on a large procedure and that so far, you are happy with the results…listen my friend, losing 10-20 hairs per wash is perfectly normal and I agree that it is probably just some native hair that sheds in its normal cyclical behavior…it would be nice to see some before pics along with some at the 12 month mark and then at 15 months…ENJOY!
