Open an account like Wise which has good exchange rates. Less stress for you once you’re there so you can focus on the surgery, etc. All the best. Regular Member Stewie Posted April 2 Regular Member Share Posted April 2 I used to have a Revolut card and now have a Starling card, they basically have excellent inter bank rates when paying international, so I normally load them up and pay with them and get an excellent rate when paying in the native currency 4 x HT - 10806 Scalp - 1800 Beard

Regular Member Stewie Posted April 2 Regular Member Share Posted April 2 heard of them but never used them, do you not have Revolut or Starling or something similar over there? more internet banks that carry a very good interbank rate so you don't get destroyed on fees and crap rates 4 x HT - 10806 Scalp - 1800 Beard

Valued Contributor Gatsby Posted April 6 Valued Contributor Share Posted April 6 The clinic doesn’t get the 18% tax. The guy does. So I would steer clear of any clinic that would do a deal on not paying this so you get a cheaper hair transplant. You have to ask yourself what other areas are they willing to cut corners on?
