Red888
Hi everyone, I had a hair transplant (2nd ever) just 3 months ago. Unfortunately, my scar looks very wide (the strip is about twice the size of the first h/t), and worst of all, I still haven't regained my laxity. I still feel some tightness occasionally, such as when i bend my head or exercise. Is this a bad sign already?
Bill - Seemiller
Red888, Scalp tightness can last a long time after surgery, even up to 6 months or even a year in some cases. Regarding the width of the scar, it's possible the scar looks wider due to donor "shock" (temporary hair loss due to surgical trauma) or inflammation of the scar. The red or pink color around the scar can often make a scar appear larger than it is, especially if you've experienced shock loss. If you'd like a more solid opinion on your specific case, feel free to post a photo showing the part of the donor you are most concerned about. Best wishes, Bill
