Regular Member alexmillne Posted October 9, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted October 9, 2023 I'm contemplating starting Topical Minoxidil. I've been on Finasteride for two years and recently underwent a hair transplant for my hairline and temples. My goal is to use minoxidil to maintain the density of hair on my crown. I've done some research on the half-life of Minoxidil, and it seems that using it once a day can also be effective. I'm considering purchasing the foam version, as it might serve as a replacement for my styling mousse. Now, here's my question: Does anyone here use Minoxidil in the following manner? Sometimes, you apply it twice a day, and other times, you apply it once a day, but you always apply it at least once a day without skipping. Is this an acceptable approach, or should I stick to either once or twice daily consistently? I'm thinking that using it twice a day might ensure better coverage across my scalp, increasing the chances of getting the product to all the crucial areas at least once a day. On the other hand, when using it only once a day, it's essential to be meticulous about reaching all the important areas during that application. Reasons why I ask is because I could imagine myself applying it mostly twice but sometime only once like when I'm tired in the evening etc. Will this back and forth be a problem? What are your thoughts on this?
Regular Member wayek Posted October 12, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted October 12, 2023 1 application every 24 hours is fine lately I've been trying to not use it during the day time but if I have to then I use the foam as an on the go method and the liquid at night
