2 part question on redness after a transplant and shock loss

As your scalp is healing, you will experience a number of sensations. Your scalp may be a little warmer due to the blood rushing there to heal the wounds.

 

Can you rephrase your second question? Recipient and donor area shock loss can occur over the first several weeks after a hair transplant. In my case, week 5 and 6 were the worst for shock loss.

Bill - can you clarify "week 5 and 6 were the worst for shock loss"?

Does this mean that the most amount of hairs fell out in weeks 5 and 6 and then it was stable for several weeks before it grew back, or, was there a noticeable improvement from week 7?

I had pinkness for a solid month, tapering back to normal around 6-8 weeks.

 

My shock loss seemed to have maxed out around two months and then native hair regrowth started to return.

Yes, that is what I'm saying from my personal experience. By the 5th to 7th week, I looked the worst, and then the shocked hair didn't start to return for several more weeks.

 

But this isn't everyone's experience.
