HT with Dr. Ross La Jolla CA (with 5 Month Updates)

After thinking about my receding hair almost daily for several years I decided to get an HT so that I could think about it every waking moment. As a result, I am learning a great deal about hair and even have taken a liking to evaluating other's progress. Does this make me a metrosexual?

Its a bit like gardening I suppose only the turf is the top of my head.

I added two month pictures. I am at what I believe to be the "HT event horizon" of the doldrums stage. This is my term for the worst follicular condition following an HT where things can only improve from here on. Apologies for the focus and resolution of my camera.

I feel and see new growth at this stage and I hope you can notice this as well from the pictures.

I am not happy with my HT at this point as I specifically requested from Dr. Ross that I look like Brad Pitt after the procedure. (JK icon_biggrin.gif )

miked,

What impressed me most about this HT so far is that you DO look like Brad Pitt! No wait... that's not true!

What does impress me is that since you didn't have to shave down, your HT can truly be hidden from anyone around you allowing it to a subtle transformation over the next several months. Given the density (40/25/10 from front-to-back), it should be a very natural and soft HT that won't scream for attention. I wish you nothing but good growing!

Absolutely! aside from some minor shock loss - no-one and I mean no one from neighbors to co-workers noticed anything at all when i returned to work three days later (i had the weekend to deal with some very minor scabbing). if anything my wife said it looked like I had a minor sun burn right around the very front since it was "pinkish". But even she hardly noticed anything different about me when i returned.

Most of the HTs I see seem to be quite different in that many doctors prefer the patient shave down the recipient area. This then would have created some awkward moments for me at work. To me the "stealthiness" of my procedure was worth quite a bit.

Mike,

Congratulations on your recent hair transplant with Dr. Ross. and thanks for posting your surgical and progress photos.

The waiting period is long and hard, but keep the faith in the process and growth will come in the near future.

I look forward to seeing your results when they grow in :-).

Best wishes,

Bill

Well sorry to have missed the 3 month mark but here are 4 month pics. I left on vacation.

My transformation into Brad Pitt is going slower than Benjamin Buttons', but I am thrilled regardless :-)

things are progressing nicely and I have zero regrets at this stage. Sorry again about my camera resolution and focus. but since the 2 month pictures were taken by same then a good comparison is hopefully possible.
