Regular Member mikematters Posted September 7, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted September 7, 2009 Hello, I am 2 Month Post Op,2400FUE to my front area. I am seeing a few small pimples and hairs starting to come through, very exciting! I have question. There is many hairs, maybe 40-50 of which just grew and they all have small black thick bits on the end, they are thin from the follicle, then at the end very thick. Is this normal? do they change? Also new. I have about 20 hairs small ones that when i shed, they started to grow to, but stay at 1-2mm and never grow longer in 2 month. Will these grow too? Thank you and I look forward to your replyed. Mike

Senior Member imissthebarber Posted September 7, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted September 7, 2009 I think that is not unusual. They are thicker at the end where they had grown pre-op. The shock of the op made them grow thinner but those particular hairs never fell out altogether. Often a small percentage of hairs do this whilst most fall out before regrowing. Bill - Seemiller
mikematters, The transplanted hair (even the ones that never fell out) will take time to thicken and mature. I'd say you're probably right on target. However, feel free to post some photos so we can get a visual of what you're referring to. Happy growing!
