Ahujadaddyy
Booked: January 2023 Op Date: Sept 8, 2023 NW: 4/5 Grafts: 3,023 (~1200 in the crown and the rest in zones 1,2,3). Still have about 1.5-2k grafts for future. Graft breakdown: Singles: 331 Doubles: 2257 Triples: 426 Quads: 2 Price: 6,640 (after 10% off for paying half cash /half card and hotel reimbursement of $360) Note: price may have changed since January quote and 10% off may no longer be applicable. Details: Mr. Santos (Dr. Nader’s driver) picked me up around 715 and he waited for me to finish breakfast as his expected arrival was 730-745. Drove to Reynosa ~30 mins. Mr. Santos was professional and nice. We chatted a bit although his English is not the best we were still able to communicate. Crossed the border and Naders office is ~10 mins away Reynosa: never felt unsafe. Normal, hardworking people. No cartel sighting. Bunch of business along the way. Nader’s office is in a tiny strip mall within a more residential area. Way back was similar. Had to wait 10-15 mins to cross the border. No cartel in sight. Get to the office: Mr. Santos escorted me to the office where I was introduced to Brenda and I filled out paperwork. The office is clean, bright and modern. Afterwards, it was time for pre op pictures. I met Dr. Nader once pictures were finished. Dr. Nader brought me into his office where we chatted for about an hour. He was well spoken and extremely professional. He asked me personal questions, showed me my hair follicles under some enhanced tool and showed me that my fin/min has been effective for the 6-7 months I’ve been on it. He also showed me the difference between singles, doubles and triples. Dr. Nader then asked me what would make me happy and in an ideal world I said everything but asked to focus on the first two thirds of my heads and if there was any possibility of adding some coverage into the crown which he said he could. He made sure that I provided my opinion but I also asked for his professional guidance. I never felt pressured or uncomfortable. He was ethical and humble from the minute we chatted. I brought up his reputation a few times which he didn’t gloat about. He said he does what he does bc he enjoys it and wants to be able to sleep well at night. That right there showed me that this man was the right choice. We drew my hairline, boxed out the coverage areas, and started counting to get a graft count. We landed on 2,934. There was a possibility to add 100 more into the middle strip of my head but after discussion, Dr. Nader told me the direction of crown growth would provide coverage as well as continued use of min/fin. Lastly, Dr. Nader said 100 grafts wouldn’t make that big of a difference in that area so I decided to save that in the reserves for the future. All in all we got 3,023 with a few extra going into the crown. I asked Dr. Nader if no shave FUE (more like partial shave FUE) was an option which he said was and i elected for. Essentially to get the best grafts out of my head we had to shave the sides and back down but kept the the top. Graft Extraction: Dr. Nader made sure I was comfortable throughout and allowed me to take a few breaks especially when I was laying on my left side as my back was tightening up. Prior to the extraction, I was given a muscle relaxant and a few tick Taks to help with the taste of the muscle relaxer. Pretty seamless, a little pain with the anesthesia and a few areas where anesthesia wasn’t hitting but Dr. Nader would apply anesthesia if I asked him to and some parts I just sucked it up. I actually fell asleep for a bit. This took about 3-4 hours (I lost track of time). Dr. Nader used a .8mm punch throughout. A nurse also helped with Dr. Nader being there the whole time and also assisting. He’s a lefty so Dr. Nader focused on the left side and the nurse focused on the right side with his oversight and assistance. They worked well together and seems like it’s a long standing relationship. Lunch: tacos, chips, salad and Netflix Graft implants: took about 3-4 hours. Watched Netflixs. Pretty painless. Dr Nader focused on the left side with his nurse focusing on the right including crown (similar as the above). I will say with the Anesthesia and implants it felt like I was wearing a helmet for a few hours. Once completed they sprayed my head up to clean up as much as possible and Dr Nader and I talked aftercare and he answered my laundry list of questions. Got to his office close to 8, started graft extraction closer to 930 finished around 130. 1ish hour for lunch… implant from 230ish to 630ish. Overall: highly recommend. 10/10. Amazing doctor. Super ethical. Aimed for 2934 grades and ended with 3023 but only charged for the 2934. Him and his team were first class and I can’t put into words how grateful I am. Even with a long day, Dr. Nader never rushed me and was patient with the millions of questions I had. Also, I flew back the next day and Dr. Nader said wearing a loosely fitted hat wouldn’t be an issue. Can confirm I wore a hat home and had no issues. Also, over the last 2 days, Dr. Nader has been extremely responsive to all my questions . Happy to answer any questions from you and I will keep everyone posted of my journey as I can. pic 1-2 day before pic 3-4: day 0 post op Pic 5-6: day 1 post op pic 7-8: day 2 first wash donor
Senior Member Hairwolf Posted September 11, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted September 11, 2023 Great report and happy that you had a good experience. Was just wondering however, did the Dr discuss your long term plan? As you have quite extensive hairloss, did the Dr explain the rationale for spreading 3000 over a large area rather than focusing on the frontal third then doing the crown in a second surgery? Ahujadaddyy
@streethawk Appreciate your response. Dr. Nader showed that hairs were sprouting from the use of Fin and felt confident that would provide additional coverage. Additionally, we kept an ample mount in the reserves for the probably expected 2nd transplant in the future (which would most likely be for density). I also expressed that id prefer a bit more full coverage than just focusing on the frontal third. Lastly, Dr. Nader felt like the graft placement in the crown would help provide coverage of the zone 3 area just based upon how the hairs would fall naturally. Also used his professional guidance but before I left, Nader said we could expect almost full coverage in the frontal third and about 70-80% coverage in the crown. Although nothing is guaranteed, I feel confident with the approach we took and will reevaluate in 12-18 months if I want to empty the piggybank. LMK if you have any other questions man! Yeah there are different approaches depending on your goals; so you are not on fin, min for that long then? Guess it make sense to see what the gains are from that before going for the 2nd op. Ahujadaddyy
@streethawk thanks man! I was on oral min (2.5) daily and fin (1mg) every other day for 6-7 months pre op… so not extremely long. Will start taking again in a week after I finish my post op meds. I’ll continue to post regularly.

Regular Member gtyler Posted September 12, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted September 12, 2023 That’s awesome man!! I’m actually flying to McAllen on Wednesday to see Dr Nader. Im pretty freaked out just because the process looks intense. Especially right after the procedure is done. But I know I’m in good hands with Dr Nader. I plan on posting pics and info from my journey as well Happy growing!
Ahujadaddyy
@gtyler hey man, rest assured you’re in good hands. I was nervous myself and although it was a long ass day, it went by really quick. I was pretty surprised at my dgaf attitude when I saw ppl in the lobby going to the elevator / picking up an uber order. Nader said wearing a hat wasn’t an issue and I used one for the flight home and had no issues. They clean and sterilize at the office if you bring it. I also wasn’t looking as crazy as I thought I’d be. Nader was fine with partial shave FUE which I think helped my confidence a bit. Goodluck brotha and keep me posted. Short term pain for long term gain ✊🏽
