Regular Member fixingmyhair Posted September 8, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted September 8, 2023 (edited) Hi everyone I am a new user in here, but I used the hair transplant network during my research for a hair transplant doctor. anyway, I am at 9 months mark, and I think it looks very bad, thin, a bit unnatural and looks very bad under light (maybe the hair is the only good thing but there is holes in it, where the density is low) - 3k grafts - was done in December 2022 - I am 25 years old, almost 26 the doctor who did my surgery is here in the forums, and he’s a part of the network. my question is, am I being unfair cause I am willing to ask for a refund? And, am I being unfair, saying it’s a bad result? Also, is it advisable to do another surgery now or wait for a few years? My donor still look good. which doctors you guys suggest to fix such situation ? (4k budget) before and after pics ( last two are the before) Edited September 8, 2023 by fixingmyhair

Adamsaleh94
Many clinics recommend a second session after 1-1.5 years.

Yes true, but I feel that I didn’t need another session, like it can be covered in one session, plus I don’t see a big difference tbh except for the hair line. Senior Member asterix0 Posted September 9, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted September 9, 2023 The post op picture looks good, I am not sure why the yield was so bad. Maybe there was transection of grafts, maybe if technicians were doing placement, something went wrong, it is hard to say.

Yes, post op looked very good, but am not sure why the hair did not grow tbh, maybe it got damaged by the technicians while doing the placement. the dr keep saying let’s wait for the 12 months mark, but I feel it won’t be a big difference. DrTBarghouthi
Thanks for sharing your experience and I totally understand your concerns. It does seem that there is a focal region with the reduced yield in the mid scalp region. I would therefore highly out rule any placement or transection issues to be the reason for that, given that the hairline and frontal region had a high yield of growth. We have to ofcourse keep in mind other reasons from reduced perfusion to ongoing loss (considering that you had native existing hairs in that region as well). I can probably prepare candid photos of the case with your consent ofcourse and we can discuss the options and possibilities here or at clinic. 1 Dr. Taleb Barghouthi approved and recommended on the Hair Transplant Network. Thanks for your reply Dr.Taleb, the thing is that I feel that my native hair was very weak and that region was almost bald (very thin and patchy hair) and am not sure if it’s slowly growing or it just not growing at all, the difference in this area is not noticeable. sure, we can discuss the case later at the 12 months mark in the clinic. thank you
