When is it safe to use hair styling products after FUE?

Title sums it up - when is it safe to start using hair styling products (gels, sprays, leave in conditioners etc) after a hair transplant?

This will vary from surgeon to surgeon. It’s really best to ask your surgeon what he or she believes is best. It could be anything from one month to six months and anything in between. All the best.

@Vortex it depends on your scalp condition at the given time...if its not healed completely than should refrain from using products which can cause irritation to scalp and if it is healed up well than you can use it but i guess not before 2 months to be on a safer side...

@Gatsby @A_4_Archan thanks both - I’m just past 6 months post op, have been styling my hair with water this whole time lol. I’ll ask my surgeon just to make sure

@Vortex yeh your surgeon should be the primary source of advice as he/she is the one responsible person for your outcome ...
