Regular Member grub12 Posted February 16, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted February 16, 2010 is it normal for the recipent area to flake up after surgery?
Bill - Seemiller
grub12, Yes, this is normal. You could be seeing a lot of dead and dry skin or scabs starting to fall off. Ultimately, the scalp takes time to heal which can include dead skin flaking off. Best wishes, Bill
Dr. Glenn Charles
How long has it been since you had your procedure? Some dryness and flaking shorly after the surgery is relatively common. What are you using to wash your hair and scalp? Certain products can worsen the situation.
