Hello everyone!

been lurking this forum for nearly 10 years! it’s helped a lot during my research and thought I’d share my story plus there isn’t too many reviews on these surgeons.

currently 28 years old, always had a large forehead and receded hairline since my teenage years. My father is receded and has mid scalp loss and my mothers father didn’t have much loss but high hairline. No crown loss in neither which I see as a big win. Because I had little To no hairloss over the years and strong hair everywhere else I have never been on medication (although will be jumping onto oral mixonidl and may consider finesteride) many on here know the stress of styling and windy days and it knocked my self confidence and I wanted to do something about it. After researching for a number of years I had recognised the dos and Donts and how important a good ethical surgeon was. I had sights on Turkey Belgium and cyprus ( was not keen on the clinics at the time in uk) and dr lupanzula happened to be offering consultations in London which i travelled too and attended. I was 23 Yes I was young however he said I had good donor (100 in back 90 sides I believe) and as-long as we proceeded cautiously he would take me on as a patient. I booked in for 4 months later, was nervous as hell but found lupanzula very assuring and the day went quickly. overall result was a good improvement and yielded quite well i believe. Here are some before and after.

Even though there was an improvement , I was still self conscious about my hair. It was tricky to style , there seemed to be a lack of youthful  frame to the face which prevents hairstyles, I just knew at some point a top up would be required. for all the positives i give to him I felt lupanzula designed the hairline way too asymmetrical. 4 years later I was ready to go again.

My main goals for this second was to improve density on one side, lower the other side to even the hairline and I wanted the temple points if possible redefining, as id come to realise they can make a big difference without lowering too much. I had approached this time bicer , saifi and Pekiner. Bicer never got back, pekiner did but only after a month and half and by this point I’d gone ahead with saifi. I’d found his patients online requiring  3000-3500 grafts and him only using 2k grafts and still getting a decent result, so thought he could do well with a case like mine. Plus 1 patient a day and seemed comfortable with temples points. Booked in November for March the 1st. Flew to Wroclaw for 2 nights, stayed in the art hotel that was booked and all transport was accommodated. I won’t go into detail of the procedure as it’s explained a lot on here. However I was very impressed on the day. Saifi does seem to care about his patients and the attention to detail throughout was excellent. He spent a lot of time on the hairline design and the markings of the donor area since I’d already had a transplant and is happy to respond to any messages after as well. Iv attatched  pics again  of before and after and day 10 after first wash. and the final pics are me just after the two month mark. Even though it’s only 2 month I was hoping for more signs of growth that Iv seen compared to on here but I guess il just have to wait. One thing I should highlight is the first and this procedure I shed VERY quick. By day 16-20 I’d say 75% of the hair of the transplanted hair shed, which iv noticed on nearly all patients doesn’t happened till end of 1 month. The first transplant yielded ok so maybe i shouldn’t overthink it.

Excellent hairline design!

Temples are by far the most important element for a perfect hairline and the most overlooked at the same time. Your face will look much better with the new hairline and the framing provided by the temples. Happy growing!

  • Thanks 1

"Mature hairline" is euphemism for balding.

Hello, my first post here.

Have been reading the forum for a few months now.

I like the work of both doctors and believe you'll have a good result also in your second HT as well.

Will be following this thread.

I'm booked with dr. Saifi in October. I live in Berlin and had an in-person consultation with him in March. Had a great impression of him and his team.

Happy growing.

Basically, the front part, as my hairline has receded. I have a forelock but have lost hair around it on both sides and a bit behind it. I have thick and wavy hair.

Dr. Saifi said I would need more or less 2200 grafts during the consultation and drew a hairline for me. My partner and I really liked the design - she also had a good impression of the dr.

I'm 38 y/o and started with Finasteride last February. I have been on Minoxidil for around 9 months, with a break of around 1 month just because I was lazy to buy more. My hair loss is not that aggressive, but I have noticed having less hair and a progression for the last 8-10 years.

Good progress.

I'm scheduled for procedure with Dr. Saifi at the tail end of August. I'm definitely going to show your progress as an example of what I want. Looks great so far!

Thanks for the comment, can’t fault the hairline design and couldn’t be happier with the temple points, there incredibly natural even at short length, would recommend them (not if yours are strong already, save the grafts) attached a few pics, still looks slightly bulky on photos but only cos there’s still redness.

Looks on track. Are you happy so far?

To be honest I’m on the fence, Saifi quite densely packed the temple regions yet seems like maybe 50% have sprouted, Iv not seen barely any come thorough since the 3.5 mark so iv started to accept this is all the hair I’m gonna see. The right side that was reinforced looks great being there was hair already there, the left side that was lowered is a little gappy. The transplanted hairs are still that short compared to my native length now that I have no doubt Itl look 2X better when it matches and also the camera doesn’t pick it all up. Already though there is better framing to the face. The directions are natural and no scarring or cobble-stoning etc. It Might need a top up of a few hundred grafts or I might just be content enough. Not the end of the world but still wish it was avoidable. Took some pics in a brighter light to give a clearer picture.

I'm no specialist, but in my opinion, your results are really impressive for 4 months, especially the temple points.

Everything looks very natural. Hopefully, the growth you expect for the other areas is still to come, as there are still 8+ months to go until a full year.

By the way, are you in touch with Dr. Saifi regularly? Maybe he has some input.

Thanks for sharing your results.

I agree. I've been researching HT's for a while and the results seem good. OP can expect additional growth still.

Bit short off 5 month but figured I’d update as I probably won’t do next one till month 7-8 when new hairs have grown more in length. Seen some nice improvements , more on the lowered side, although I still don’t think Itl be super dense, it’s natural and il take that over a thick pluggy one. The temple points have settled in even more and for the first time since I can remember I can actually pull a hairstyle off.
