Is a 2nd HT pointless without medication?

Hi all!

Just wondering if it is pointless to get a hair transplant without taking any medication? I'm not sure I am losing hair (I suppose I am, but how can you tell for sure?). I did 1 HT back in 2019 and def feel I have lost hair since. Now considering my 2nd HT but questioning if it would make sense if I refuse to go on meds?

I notice most doctors recommend them, including the ones who have given me their consultation/diagnosis. I have heard of scary side effects with fin/monox/dust, etc and not sure I am willing to go through that.

So would a HT be pointless or not pointless without the meds?

This is way too complex of a question for anyone to answer for you. It depends on your expectations, financial situation, family history of hair loss, expected loss pattern, donor capacity, etc. I recommend you dig deep into this forum and educate yourself, because only you can answer this question for yourself.
