Local and needle-free anaesthetic (Prilocaine and Lidocaine) recommended?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I'm in contact with Dr. Dogan Turan from fuecapilar. They use local and needle-free anaesthetic (Prilocaine and Lidocaine).

Would you recommend this over the "classic" anaesthetic, injected with needles?

What are the pros and cons?

Thank you very much

I’m not sure we’re equipped to answer this, but we can tag @FUECAPILAR perhaps they can provide some pros.

There is no cons really. It is just a device to numb the operating area. Theoretically it causes less pain compared with traditional syringe+needle injections for anesthesia. Clinics may employ it to improve patient comfort but it has no bearing on the hair transplant results.

Here is an animation to help you visualize

Hello Rettub,

the needle free anesthesia is a pre-anesthesia, it helps to numb the donor area before the injections are used to reduce discomfort.

Best regards
