blazed punk Posted March 31, 2023 Share Posted March 31, 2023 Hey fam, had 2995 grafts implanted with Dr. Gokhan Gur in Istanbul a month back [27 Feb 2023] I opted for the VIP package which meant Dr Gur also performs all graft extractions himself. FYI this option costed me 1.50€ per graft. I would say i went into this surgery at a Norwood IV level of balding. i’ve attached my before photos to this post and will post further photos in seperate comments below. The surgery was a 9.5 hour process in total (long for under 2995 grafts) but we knocked it our in one day. glad it wasn’t over two days otherwise i may not have come back 😂 I asked Dr Gur to focus on my crown, and not to dedicate too many grafts to the hairline. this was just based on what i was more self-conscious about Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

blazed punk Posted April 1, 2023 Author Share Posted April 1, 2023 today (a touch over 30 days from surgery) saw very significant shedding over the past 10 days, and feels like almost all hairs in the implanted grafts have now fallen out big difference to 10-day mark, and big morale killer its quite obvious that i’ve been holding off on any haircuts too which can’t be helping the overall look… is this a normal amount of shedding for 30-days post surgery? P.S. i’m finding it extremely hard not to touch or play with the implanted areas, and maybe that has sped up the shedding. surely touching the implanted area at this stage this isn’t doing the grafts any long term harm, and only just speeding up the shedding phase? Curious to get updates thanks for checking in! it’s been about 3.5 months now and i have not seen any rapid change from my usual overall look. not sure if it’s still too early to know what lies ahead, would appreciate your opinion!
