For me it was about 5-6 days, which seems to be on the slightly longer side of things. Are you making sure to massage the swelling frequently? Sounds like perhaps you hit a double whammy of that... but it definitely should be reducing for you by now, slowly but surely. Hang in there, it's not permanent.
