Regular Member Coligion Posted September 5, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted September 5, 2009 It's usually recommended to have been on Propecia for 6 to 12 months before surgery. Propecia/Finasteride is supposed to help reduce the potential impact of shock loss to your existing hairs. Age is something else to consider for shock loss. It's usually the younger patients (as well as diffuse thinners) that get hurt the most. Ill see my doc on monday and get a script. im 55 and need about 4000 grats Im told.
