Has anyone had any red flags or unable to do their HT after bloodwork?

Taking mine next weekend, and kind of nervous about it as I have never done BW in my life. I am typically healthy, with no medical issues.

 

My fam has a history of diabetes and both parents have a heart stent though!

 

I read that 99& of the time, there's no issues.

 

My uncle went to a clinic in turkey and they didnt even ask him to take any bloodwork prior.. they just did it when he was there..

 

Just not sure what to expect..

 

I have to do 9 blood test!!

Haemogram

Prothrombin Time INR

LFT (Liver Function Test)

KFT (Kidney Function Test)

Random Blood Sugar

HBA1c (Glycosylated Haemoglobin)

HIV 1 and 2 (Anti Retrovirus Test)

HBsAg (Hepatitis B Surface Antigen)

Anti HCV (For Hepatitis C)

I don't think you have anything to worry about. It's mostly a precautionary measure on the super off-chance that you have a condition that would make it unsafe for you. If you're in good health, you're likely fine. (I totally relate to being nervous before any sort of bloodwork/tests though!)

No reason to worry at all. Just precautionary for the clinic if they choose to inspect certain things, or ensure you’re not infected with some previously undetected disease.

I don’t think bloodwork would disqualify you per se. However certain conditions can if they are not treated like high blood pressure, uncontrolled diabetes, etc. You’re going to have to let the clinic know of any pre-existing conditions and meds you’re on
