Regular Member My HT Posted February 5, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted February 5, 2022 Hi.. I am planning a FUE hair transplant in a few weeks. I am a Norwood Grade 3 with some hair in front. I am going to start finasteride after my hair transplant, as per doctor prescription . If somehow my existing hair falls off due to shock loss, will they grow back ?? I don't mind looking bald for a few months after hair transplant. I do not take any finasteride as of yet. I am planning to start only after a week or so after my hair transplant. Regular Member My HT Posted February 5, 2022 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 5, 2022 Before HT I just plan to drink a lot of water, excercise, focus on diet, etc. Medications only after hair transplant.. Is it a good idea. Please advice. Thanks
Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted February 5, 2022 Administrators Share Posted February 5, 2022 You should use finasteride first for 6 months then get the hair transplant. 1 I’m a paid admin for Hair Transplant Network. Senior Member Gramatik Posted February 5, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted February 5, 2022 at Least 6 months of taking finasteride before the procedure. But i would wait one year +, before a hair transplant to be sure.
Regular Member My HT Posted February 6, 2022 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 6, 2022 Thanks for the reply all. I wanted to use finastride minimum possible. Therefore, was planning to start only after hair transplant. Wanted to use it for an year maximum. WIll this approach be risky ??
