phishman
Thanks in advance for any help gents! Basically I'm in the research phase of trying to decide on a clinic and/or doctor to do FUE. I'm 44 years old and have seen my hair progressively pull back on the sides and across the top for the past few years. I would like to have my hairline brought back down on the sides and front, as well as possibly fill in areas prone to later recession. The good news is I think (you guys tell me otherwise) I've got good donors for this procedure, as my hair has been notoriously thick across most of my head. But, I've been on Dutasteride .05 for at least 2 years and I've tried Minoxidil 5% topical for 1 year consistently, and haven't had any noticeable changes, as my hairline continues to retreat. Based on some research here and the rest of the web I had all but decided to go with Dr. Pekiner but I can't seem to find or get into contact with his clinic. So I'm basically starting over in my search. I don't have a preference in country and/or state. I'm based in the U.S. (Arkansas), but will obviously travel to the Dr. I feel like can get me the best results. Again, I'm not trying to find the cheapest clinic, but one where I feel confident I have the best chance at getting this procedure done correctly. This forum has been amazing, and I hope to be able to document my journey from start to end for others in the same boat. Thanks again and I look forward to reading the replies. Senior Member Britanium Posted January 6, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted January 6, 2022 I would say you appear to have really good hair for 44 ! Could you show us a pic of your donor area ? Thanks 🙏

But I could still use a confidence boost that I think FUE would provide if you know what I'm saying! 🙂 Here's a couple of the back of my head.
Senior Member Britanium Posted January 6, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted January 6, 2022 I see someone like Dr Freitas being perfect for you. Or one of the other elite European options. I mention Dr Freitas as his hairlines are pretty much some of the best anywhere worldwide.

What other elite European options are you referring to?
Senior Member JoeMan Posted January 7, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted January 7, 2022 Recently, I saw a list that someone created with pricing and information on many of the top HT surgeons from all over the world. It seems like this might be a good place to start. Dr. Ferreira, Dr. Pinto in Portugal, Dr. Freitas in Spain and Dr. Basinga in Greece and Brussels I believe are on this list along with others. I tried to locate it but couldn't find it. Maybe someone on here can lead you to it. If you dig around here typing in the names above, you'll find some results to look at. Personally I chose Dr. Ferreira but was really close to picking Dr. Freitas. Had i not booked Dr. Ferreira already, I probably would've picked Dr. Freitas, mainly based on more detailed and documented results. But his consultation took too long. I had to email his staff several times and finally they asked me to resubmit then they fast tracked it. By this time (2 months later), I had already booked elsewhere. I did get consultations from many top Dr's in my price range, which would probably be wise for you to do as well. Remember that many of the top Dr's are booked out a year in advance so have patience. Good Luck!

phishman
So I received the initial email from Dr. Freitas with estimated number of grafts, etc. but I’d really like to talk with someone who has used him recently to see what next steps of the process looked like and what to expect. Any takers or should I just PM a bunch that I see who have done reviews?
