Senior Member Marko7t4 Posted September 8, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted September 8, 2021 How long after a HT is it recommended to wait until you start using hair gel, spray, etc? I was told not to use hair dye for 12 months afterwards, but nothing about styling.
Senior Member LaserCaps Posted September 8, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted September 8, 2021 Once the sutures are removed if FUT. Check with the clinic. For FUE I would give time for everything to heal. Typically 2 weeks but, again - check with the clinic. 1 Patient Consultant for Dr. Arocha at Arocha Hair Restoration. Senior Member gillenator Posted September 10, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted September 10, 2021 Yes they do vary regarding this topic...and I agree to wait for complete healing of the scalp before using anything...doctors usually want the entire procedure to fully mature with full regrowth of the grafts. 1 Gillenator Independent Patient Advocate I am not a physician and not employed by any doctor/clinic. Senior Member Marko7t4 Posted September 11, 2021 Author Senior Member Share Posted September 11, 2021 Thanks everyone. Dr Arshad’s team said I should be fine to use products on it now. Was thinking of getting it all shaved at number 4 so the graft growth matches the rest, but they advised to carry on with scissors for now.
