Greying after hair transplant?

If you've had a hair transplant, have you got rapid greying afterwards, and did it go away?

I have consulted hair transplant surgeons about this, and the answer is the hair cells might go into some sort of shock due to the transplant, and it greys and then it reverts to the ordinary color. But does it? If you've had a hair transplant, did you experience greying? And if so, did it revert to the original color afterwards?

My experience has actually been the opposite. Overall my hair has gotten darker because the relocated follicles are darker than surrounding hair. So, having some mixed in native graying has been diluted out by the new darker hair.

Thanks for weighing in! And that's encouraging!

If anyone else has done a HT, please do tell whether you experienced rapid greying, or whether or not it went away.

5 hts and it’s not happened to me. However I do remember it happening to Wayne Rooney !
