Propecia incontinence

I’m 43, Used propecia for several years at 1 mg but was very inconsistent, using it maybe 75% of the time Worked well I think because I outlasted my peers. Recently about a year ago I began to have a little bit of urinary incontinence, feeling like I didn’t empty my bladder each time and some mild urine leakage. At that time I was even more inconsistent. Stopping for a week at a time.  Freaked me out so I quit about 6 months ago and symptoms stopped. I tried going back on once again and had similar symptoms after about a week and stopped.

now my hair feels thinner and I don’t feel as full up top. I wondered if anyone else had similar side effects and if they got better with time ( wondering if my inconsistency recently started it all and that if I just toughed it out eventually was more consistent with taking it, symptoms would improve

To have side effects all of the sudden, whatever they may be, after years of use? Doubt it.  Likely coincidental. I would check with your PCP and find the underlying reason.  I would also encourage you, if you decide to stop Propecia, to consider PRP and laser therapy. These can help not only with retention, but also with the reversal of the thinning.

I’ve never heard of Propecia causing incontinence. Correlation doesn’t equal causation.
