Am i a good candidate for HT? Need advices badly !

Recommended Posts

Hello, i been lurking around this forum for the past 3 months and decided to posting my own.

25 Asian Male, been losing hair since 19 yo aggressive diffuse thinning as you can see. back in 2017 i started to notice my hair situation is in a very bad state so i started researching. and decided to go with finasteride, after on it for 12 months my hair thinned out a little bit worse but my hairloss was slowing down a little at the same time that i could notice. So i switched to dutasteride (they called it Zagaro in Japan) and added oral minoxidil , after a few months i notice my hair have thicken up quite noticeable, that is when I THOUGHT there is still hope for my hair. but after 2 months of improving my condition got worse again, went straight back to where i first started using dut and thinning again little by little. no sides btw.

the thing is i noticed some spot have grew back some baby hairs but too weak. i dont want to start microneedling cuz my scalp is could get super oily. for example if i massage my scalp in the shower then it only takes 4 hours later for my hair to get a bit greasy and the next morning even more greasy. that make my extremely uncomfortable.  i washing my hair everyday so what shampoo would you recommend?

Also i started to using Nizoral 5 times last month, once every 3 days (without conditioner, conditioner also make my scalp oily af so i never use them anyway) and noticed lot of my hair fall out more than usual . that scared the shit out of me so i just put nizoral aside for now. i dont think i was vitamin D deficient.

**** im planning to have my hair transplant with HLC next year Feb. ****

I know i am  maybe too young for a HT but this shit is killing my confident and affect my mental health at some points,  it has to be done.

heres pictures of my scalp and donor areas.

Am i a good candidate for HT?  Is my Beard good enough to be consider donor area? i shaved my beard every 3 days btw.

How many grafts do i need? pls keep in mind that I want to rebuild my hairline up high as possible and save all these grafts for more density on top in the future knowing my current hair will slowly thin out in the future.

Pls tell me what should i add in my regime, what should i do to improve my condition atm until the day of procedure. every single small advice would be very appreciated.

Also sorry bout my bad english.

If you haven’t experienced side effects then it might be worthwhile staying in Finasteride. It can take up until two years to show its full benefits and it sounds like you started to see some before you ceased the drug. If you are thinking of having a hair transplant then you need to really do your research and take your time. If you are considering augmenting your donor with beard grafts then have you consulted with Eugenix? You have to prepare that if you have started experiencing hair loss at a young age then you must assume you will end up at Norwood 6. This isn’t something to be frightened about. It just emphasizes the fact that you need to plan for your hair loss over the life span. Take your time and all the best.

thank you, im still considering Eugenix and HLC at the moment. dont know which one to choose

yes i am aware i will end up norwood 6 one day i dont mind going full bald after around 45.

just wanna live my life without this deep dark hole sucking part of my confident for the next 15 years. after my first HT i will stay on dut and keep coming back to HLC to add more density every year if i have to.
