Regular Member Cmike Posted March 20, 2021 Regular Member Share Posted March 20, 2021 Hey guys, is it normal to have a shedding phase while on finasteride? Also, is there any other hair growth stimulants besides minoxidil? I have some heart issues already and don’t want to mess with it. Thanks! Regular Member TrialAcc Posted March 20, 2021 Regular Member Share Posted March 20, 2021 (edited) Yeah pretty normal to have a few months of shedding on finasteride. There is some natural things you could sort of look into instead of minoxidil, but their efficacy is going to be a crap shoot. Things like topical melatonin, castor oil (topical or oral) or peppermint oil(?) are sometimes mentioned. From self experience, castor oil seems to work decently at speeding up hair growth and pulling more hairs out of the resting phase. I want DHI
Stemoxydine (Serioxyl by L'Oreal) might be worth looking into, but it's not FDA approved so if you're in the U.S. you'd have to buy it online and get it shipped to you
