Ive been on oral fin for almost 3 years. I’ve always understood that stopping Minox would cause all the hairs gained on Minox to fall after stopping it regardless of fin being used. However, I’m reading from some people that If you were on fin for awhile before starting Minox you could keep some of the gains made on it? Is this true or false?

Hi everyone. Wanting to get a hair transplant to straighten up my hairline. I think I still have pretty good density everywhere and around hairline. No balding on crown. Just really don’t like my hairline. Wondering what norwood level you guys think I am. As well as how many grafts I would probably need. I’m 25 years old.

Hey everyone, quick question. Does finasteride maintain hairline. Seen a lot of stuff saying it “can” maintain the hairline, but I’ve heard a lot of people say it works better on the crown. Ive been taking oral finasteride for two years and looking to add a topic anti androgen here soon. Any topical recommendations would be greatly appreciated as well!

Hey everyone, was wondering if anyone here has experience with topical anti-androgens. Looking to add it to finasteride. I’ve read up a little on RU58841 . Wondering if anyone has experience using it or other topical anti androgens to look into. As well as any side effects to note. Thanks all!

The first picture is a month into finasteride (about a year and 2 months ago) and the second picture was taken today. I’ll take your opinion if it’s recessed as you know quite a bit more than I do. I initially thought it was recessed but upon looking more it seems like the second picture (current) has a lot more density around the hairline

Man you’re not kidding. No one in my family that I remember is even bald haha. Both my grandpas had a thick head of hair, and same with my dad. Do you add any other alpha 5 reductase inhibitors to the oral finasteride? I wanted to try and take as little as possible at first, but now I feel like I might need to add something else in here. Thanks!

Do you think it’s possible to see a shed phase even after a year? I’m not too sure, but I always thought the shed phase happened earlier on, which I never really noticed. Do you add any other alpha 5 reductase inhibitors with finasteride? Thanks for your reply!

23 about to turn 24. Defintely going to look into getting a blood test for dht levels. And I’ve done a pretty good job documenting. Up until a month or two ago, those hairs were still there and pretty dense. Not sure if stress or something else has played a factor but

Hey guys, coming back to you for some advice. I’ve been on finasteride for a year now, and it seems as if my hairline has gotten worse. I still have good density, but it’s defintely receded a bit more. I really want to get a hair transplant, I’m just worried that if finasteride can’t atleast stop the hair loss, than a transplant will be a waste of money. Should I try dutasteride? Or are there any other suggestions. Thanks to all!

Hey guys, is it normal to have a shedding phase while on finasteride? Also, is there any other hair growth stimulants besides minoxidil? I have some heart issues already and don’t want to mess with it. Thanks!

Hey guys, I’m new to this hair loss journey, and wanted to get peoples thoughts on what’s best. I’m about a Norwood 1.5 to Norwood. And I’m on finasteride but I want to even put my hairline. I have an appoint with a doctor for a transplant and wondered what’s the difference between FUE and FUT? And what’s better?

I’ve always had a U shaped hairline, just not as noticeable when I was younger compared to now. Also what Norwood level would you say I’m at?

Yeah I didn’t really want to spend the money on a transplant, I’ve just always been insecure about my hairline and wanted to be corrected. Guess I’ll just save my money! Yeah in pictures when I was younger I had higher temple points than most kids and was always insecure about it. They’ve definitely moved back a little bit, but my guess is that’s just my mature hairline. I haven’t noticed any progression for a while. Getting started on finasteride pretty soon just to play it safe
