DrTBarghouthi
Dear community, This is a pleasant 32 year old lady who underwent an FUE procedure in June 2019. Her main complaint was a prominent forehead and obvious "male pattern" Fronto -temporal recessions. Her donor quality was assessed and was excellent. She was offered both FUT or FUE but elected to go with the latter as she wanted a faster recovery time and no obvious scarring. We decided not to lower the hairline significantly as the main aim was to get some good density in the recessions and allow her to pull her hair back. This will also give a lower forehead appearance. The patient and myself are delighted with her progress. I certainly believe female hairline work to be a rather challenging field within hair restoration surgery which I really enjoy performing and seeing good transformation in. Surgical details: June 2019 Total 1698 FUE grafts extracted: 450 Single hairs for hairline (refined) 25 double hair grafts 438 Triple hairs 785 Quadruples. Surgery day and surgical planning: During and immediately after: Day 10 : 1 Month : 4 months: > 1 year : 1 Dr. Taleb Barghouthi approved and recommended on the Hair Transplant Network. Senior Member UnbaldEagle Posted November 23, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted November 23, 2020 (edited) Dr. Barghouthi, this is an excellent result! 😍 Especially considering the patient has really course hair, that ratio of triples and quadruples is the highest I've ever seen. 😮 I've just said in a different post that female HT results really showcase a surgeon's skills, and this particular example shows what a great aesthetic surgeon you are imo. DrTBarghouthi
Thank you guys for the feedback. I know there’s probably not many female hair loss cases shown here in comparison to males. I think female hair restoration is harder to get right because of the different hairline characteristics, hair direction etc. Females would also be less forgiving with “lower density” work :)) There is no specific rule with it and the fact that their hair loss is usually more of thinning than complete baldness, puts more emphasis on following the existing hairs’ direction and angles. 2 Dr. Taleb Barghouthi approved and recommended on the Hair Transplant Network.
