Regular Member PGDMMB Posted February 18, 2019 Regular Member Share Posted February 18, 2019 I was just curious once the hair has been transplanted does the new hair grow the first few weeks before it sheds or is it a dead root that doesn’t grow? Senior Member gillenator Posted February 19, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted February 19, 2019 A high percent of the grafts go dormant after they are transplanted. Some of the grafts remain in the anagen growth phase and sometimes will grow before they shed. The shedding is a result of the grafts entering the dormant phase and the follicles rest for 3-4 months before entering a new growth phase.
