Regular Member Reds Posted April 8, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted April 8, 2010 I have looked at many posts with pre and post op instructions. Spex has a good writeup on these. But It would be great if some one could add on a day to day basis, like on the op day what medication need to be taken? and what should be avoided? is it ok to apply vitamin E oil right after the operation day? Bill - Seemiller
Reds, Each hair transplant doctor varies in the preoperative and postoperative instructions they provide. Some suggest applying Vitamin E oil to your scalp a day or two after surgical hair restoration while others suggest dry healing. Medication may be prescribed/provided on the day of the hair transplant procedure. This typically includes pain medication and antibotics to prevent infection and swelling. See also "Preoperative Hair Transplant Tips" and "Hair Transplant Post-Surgical Tips". Best wishes, Bill
