  1. I came across the site (promotional link removed) and read it, looks like this is something that works. But as I said, i just came across randomnly. Has anyone on this forum is being use this techniques. This article says to gorw hair with the maintained diet and techniques. I don't know what the techniques are!!!
  2. ScottishGuy, You are right I am also losing the hair from the places where nothing was disturbed due to the HT. It's good that it slowed down after a month for you. I have looked at your pictures and at 21 days you have shed a good amount of transplanted hair from the receipent area. I don't have any redness in that area but I still have most of the grafts intact(may be I should be happy for not shedding, so that the new hair continues to grow). My scar is still red and pinkish, I am still using the ointment given by Dr.Madhu, he asked me to apply this until the tube runs out. Do I need to use any other things like "Jason Aloe vera Moisturizer" on the scar?
  3. I had my HT with Dr.Madhu from India. If this is a shockloss, how long would I be losing the hair. hero85, you said you lost your hair in the first month, so did it stabilize after how many days?
  4. they are not miniaturized, they are long. I was hoping to have the transplanted hair shed but not the native hair. It's weird, is this only happening to me or did some one face the same poblem?
  5. I am 20 days post op and all ,y scabs have gone, some of the transplanted hair started to shed, not so many but some. from the past 3 days I have noticed some of my native hair is shedding really bad. I am really scaredd and concerned at this point that if it continues to shed this way, I will loose most of my native hair. Is this normal after the surgery for some time or do I need to worry about this? till yesterday I was using Baby shampoo but today I started using "Aubrey moisturising shampoo" (this is an herbal shampoo with all natural oils and aloe. Is it ok to use this kind of shampoo's? Today I noticed 2 set of hair(it has 3 hairs together) fall off!!! I am really scared, please suggest?
  6. I am 19 days postop ad still using baby shampoo, I am lil concerned about the usage of these products after the HT. So how many days after post op should I use these shampoo's? I am planning to buy Nizoral twice a week and use Loreal vive fo men. Loreal made my hair look and feel fuller so thought of using that often, does Loreal vive have any ingredients that will cauuse any harm to te Transplant and the native hair?
  7. Overall I had a good experience with the surgery, but I am just 10 days post op to analyse the results. Dr.Madhu is charging RS 45 rupees per graft. I would suggest to stay atleast 3 to 4 days after the surgery, because you will be stressed out and will have the swelling for atleast 3 days, travelling too far will be even stressfull.
  8. I am 8 days post op and I still have scabs on my scalp. Does it take a while for the scabs to fall off or am I washing my hair very sensitively? Can I use the regular shampoo or do I still need to use the baby shampoo?
  9. I was reading an article on what are the best fish oils in the market which includes the amount of DHA and EPA levels, the purity of the oil from the fish in the ocean near New zealand. I found this company "Xtend-Life" moega3/DHA premium fish oil the best one. But I am not an expert on the fish oils supplements. please feel free to add more, this would help many.
  10. I had My HT in India but due to some emergency reasons I am travelling back to US on the 4th day after my surgery, So I don't have time for the suture removal. I will be in Dallas,TX, can any one please suggest any doctor who can remove my sutures. I know any family doctor can do it, but I want the doctor name that I can go directly to. If anyone had their sutures removal in dallas please suggest!!!
  11. I finally decided and had my hair transplant done at Dr.Madhu's advanced hair transplant clinic in Hyderabad,INDIA. I travelled to hyderabad for a visit and decided it's a right time to have my procedure done. I was talking to Dr.Madhu in the emails since 1 month and he or his assistant doctors had answered all my questions. I met the doctor in his office and he drew plan on how many grafs will be needed to cover the frontal and mid scalp. Looking at my donar area laxity he estimated around 3000 - 3200. I explained my goal to cover the front part and the sides to make it look as natural as possible and symmetrical on both sides and touchup work on temporal peaks. Doctor said bringing the hairline too much further can cause unnatural look and require more number of grafts. On the day of surgery: Arrived at the hospital at 8:00AM and was ready for the surgery. The junior doctors took my pre op pictures and gave anti biotic and anesthesia, dressed up in surgical Apron. Doctor arrived and drew the plan on my head. Doctor suggested to shave the frontal part to make it easier and effective to plant the hair. I was little hesitant to shave because it's gonna look weird than any hairstyle in the world:) I thought what the hell and decided to shave  Doctor gave the anesthesia at the Donar area and it was painful for a while but after that it was totally numb. Harvested the strip and I asked how many grafts, doctor said approx 2800. the team started separating the grafts into 1's 2's and multi's. Doctor and his assistants started planting the hairs. Later Dr left for a while and the his assistants continued to plant the hair. Dr came after 2 hours and investigated the receipent and suggested some thing to them. It took 5 total hours to complete the surgery. I looked myself in the mirror after the surgery just curious to see how will I look in the future The hair line looked pretty solid but I could not analyse because of the elastic band on my forehead. Dr said I should not take that band off for 3 days.Following are the total number of hairs planted 1's - 1120 2's - 1180 Multi's - 252 total - 2552 I was disappointed by the number of grafts because I was expecting more from the strip, I asked doctor that this is the less number he said he tried but couldn't get more than that. They provided me the some juice and cookies and had the anti biotic and pain killers. I will upload my pictures soon. I need to take a good pictures. But in the mean time I am attaching my before and after surgery pic, can ya'll please comment on the work done and the hairline.
  12. I have looked at many posts with pre and post op instructions. Spex has a good writeup on these. But It would be great if some one could add on a day to day basis, like on the op day what medication need to be taken? and what should be avoided? is it ok to apply vitamin E oil right after the operation day?
  13. Hey Bill, thanks for moving my post to the right category of the forum. Thank you all for the valuable reply. Till now I was in a impression that absorb able sutures are ideal, coz they dissolve and I thought that would be easy for me to forget about taking the staples out. Well I will give a second thought about those.
  14. Which is is better to go with, I feel like absorbable is risk free, don't have to touch the sonar area again. But still need all the experts advice. more info is really appreciated
  15. What is major difference between, shaving the recipient area and not shaving before the surgery. I found this on Dr.Madhu's website "if the patient wants the surgery without shaving the recipient area, he is gonna charge 20,000 rupees more. Is this something that is required or shaving the head would make it easier for doc? Which one is better?
  16. Petchski, you said you are using fish oils, can you please suggest some very good fish oils that I need to take internally or external for the scar and receipent healing.
  17. Thank You Bowdie, I talked to Sharon from Dr.Feller's office and I was planning to have the surgery in April, but the Dr is booked until May. I have seen a lot of posts from Dr.Feller's patients and for some reason I am kinda leaning towards Dr.Feller to have my surgery done.
  18. Thank you HappyinSW, I have seen your pictures looks amazing. I haven't met Dr.Arocha since he only visits few times a month to Dallas. I am planning to have a consultation with Doc in Houston. May be that's better for me to get ab accurate quote and think about it.
  19. It's been a while I have been researching a lot on this site and I am thinking of getting a Surgery done Immediately.(Thanks a lot to all members in this site). I live in Dallas and Dr.Arocha has a office which is close and convenient for me, but at the same time Dr.Feller is terrific in his work too. I am still not able to decide which of these 2 docs to decide!!!Both have nice patient results, but my Requirements are frontal hairline dense packing. Any last suggestions are really appreciated!

  22. I have been smoking for 4 years, I remember long time back in some article that smoking causes hairloss in most cases. Is that true? if it is how bad will that affect the hairloss?
