SMP Shaving Down

Hello. Anyone out there who has had SMP and can advise if buzzing down with 0.4mm blade on hair clippers would ok or is that not close enough. I guess depends on the individual so if it helps I am white with light brown hair which is nw6/7

I don't have any personal experience with SMP but a lot of what your hair will look like will depend on how much actual hair you are buzzing down, hair color, scalp/hair color ratio, etc. After all some people do use SMP as a way to camouflage baldness and add pigments to thinning areas while keeping the rest of their hair longer. Many however, buzz their scalp completely down to a 0 or 1 clip to provide the illusion that they've chosen a buzz cut by choice instead of because they are bald. So in your case as a NW6/7, I would personally buzz it all the way down to a 1 clip so the pigments/dots appear to look the same length as the shaved down hair.

 

That's my opinion of course.
