Dr Rahal FUE Patient - 2557 Grafts

Recommended Posts

This 26 year old patient came to Dr Rahal to create a hairline and fill in the frontal area for his first procedure. The plan is to address the other zones in a second surgery.

FUE was chosen as the patient likes to keep his hair shorter.

Using 2557 grafts, Dr Rahal designed a hairline that compliments the patient's features and proportions. He still has plenty of donor supply and plans to have a second procedure in the near future.

Recipient area treated: 80cm2

Hair Caliber: average

Recipient graft density: 32 grafts per cm

Recipient hair density: 69.34 hairs per cm

Graft breakdown:

Single hair: 540

Two hair: 1208

Three hair: 645

Four hair: 164

Total grafts: 2557

Total hairs: 5547

Average hairs per graft: 2.17

Hi Mattj, may be a silly question however, the before op photos show thinning in the crown whereas the photos after his operation show no sign of thinning in fact looks super thick? How long after his first surgery were these photos taken?

Also, I'm not familiar with the blue lines. I know its drawn on by the surgeon but what does each row / quadrant represent? Are these to help where the 1's, 2's, 3's and 4 grafts are being placed? Or....?

Nevertheless, great work by Dr Rahal!

Thanks Mattj those views definitely help! In fact, it makes the procedure and this patients result even better! And I imagine things will look even better once he hits the 12 month mark, not to forget his 2nd surgery!

Any idea about what meds this person is taking?
