rustam
Hello, I was looking for a HT surgeon and had an online consult with more than 10 doctors. 2 of them told me that I need 10000 grafts but they can only harvest 4000, other 3 told that I don't have enough donor area, rest of them offered from 4000 to 5000 grafts. Now I'm confused and not sure if I have to schedule an appointment for a surgery. I really don't wanna go with BHT. I don't know what to do.
Senior Member Speegs Posted April 5, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted April 5, 2017 You have advanced hair loss, friend. Please don't go to Bosley, but realize that no matter where you go that tempered expectations must be in order. I see you've cropped your hair, have you considered trying micropigmentation to make it look as though you've adopted a buzzed hair cut and have a full head of hair? I'd investigate that, it would be eons cheaper than a transplant and would not be limited by your donor supply. You may very well need 10k grafts to create a realistic density across your scalp, if your donor only has 4k you'll only have enough for a modest hairline and frontal restoration. rustam
thank you for reply, I had a consult with Dr.Hakan Doganay, Koray Erdogan, Rahal, Yaman, Karadeniz, Keser, Feriduni and pending Bisanga. I was more concerned about vertex and crown area, not sure how it will look like if I get 50% on top and back, 50% for front and hairline. And I'm deciding between Dr.Rahal and Dr.Yaman

And I'm deciding between Dr.Rahal and Dr.Yaman That strategy will not give you good coverage and will look incredibly thin, I doubt either doctor will oblige this. Senior Member gillenator Posted April 7, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted April 7, 2017 I agree and there is just not enough donor for the crown and frontal zone. Gillenator Independent Patient Advocate I am not a physician and not employed by any doctor/clinic. My opinions are not medical advice, but are my own views which you read at your own risk.
