Regular Member ConfusedRose Posted December 18, 2016 Regular Member Share Posted December 18, 2016 Through out the internet i have searched and i have found naught. Can someone show me what a lost hair looks like? 1. A lost hair graft 2. A regular lost hair from baldness or whatever... but a hair that wont grow back. Thank you so much. Senior Member hsrp10 Posted December 18, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted December 18, 2016 A lost "graft" especially at your stage a few weeks later post-op will always be accompanied by bleeding and a lot of pain. If no bleeding you will be Ok. This topic has come up a lot recently, you will start to shed your new hairs (but not the actual grafts which are secure under your scalp) after around 2.5 weeks but they will come back around the 3 month mark. Regular Member ConfusedRose Posted December 18, 2016 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 18, 2016 Hey hsrp, Oddly enough i still have my transplanted hairs, a few have shed here and there, but its not really noticeable and now its around a month post opt. Maybe them little buggers will stay in there? If they do stay in, what about those that shed? Any thoughts on this?
Senior Member hsrp10 Posted December 18, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted December 18, 2016 As long as all of the crusts and scabs are off and you're not "overly babying" the new hairs - meaning you're washing your scalp as directed by your surgeon including healthy amount of gentle massaging with your fingertips only (no nails) - I think it's a good sign. Some people have some grafts that do stay around longer. But don't get too attached to them lol as their shed and subsequent return is all part of the normal process. go dense or go home Unbiased advice and opinions based on 25 plus years of researching and actual experience with hair loss, hair restoration via both FUT & FUE, SMP, scalp issues including scalp eczema & seborrheic dermatitis and many others HSRP10's favorite FUT surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr Hasson, Dr. Rahal HSRP10's favorite FUE surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Erdogan, Dr. Couto (*indicates actual experience with doctor)
