Dr. Thomas Nakatsui
This is a patient who came in for follow-up last week approximately 11-12 months after his surgery. He had wanted to lower his frontal hairline and keep his hairline fairly flat. Although I discourage this in a lot of my patients because of the possibility of future hair loss, after a long discussion about the need for future hair transplants and possible outcomes, we decided that it was a reasonable risk in this patient given his degree of hair loss, age, and family history. He received 233 single grafts, 965 double grafts, and 280 big grafts, for a total count of 1484 grafts. Of note, he had a very strong pre-existing cowlick in the right frontal hairline that we had to follow as it was so strong.
