Anyone had FUE whilst fully Sedated?

Even if you found a doctor who does this (which is unlikely), I would not recommend this. You need to be alert during the procedure and have the ability to be somewhat active. You are going to need to move around from time to time for the surgeon to extract and place the grafts on different parts of your scalp. You'll need to be on your back, your sides, face down, etc. for different portions of the procedure, and if you're completely knocked out, this isn't gonna be possible.

That being said, I assume what you're worried about is pain level? If that's the case, believe me - and other users can back me up on this - the procedure itself isn't painful at all. Honestly, the worst part is the local anesthesia in the scalp and even that subsides relatively quickly.

I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA. My views/opinions are my own and don't necessarily reflect the opinions of Dr. Mohebi and his staff.
