Regular Member Michael Vories, MD Posted September 3, 2016 Regular Member Share Posted September 3, 2016 This patient came in yesterday for his 6 month follow up after receiving 3000 FUE grafts in a one day session. 2000 grafts were focused in his frontal forelock and hairline, and 1000 grafts were used to lightly dust the midscalp and crown. A 0.75 mm Vortex surrounded punch was used for extraction, and Hans Lion Implanters were used for placement. He is stable on finasteride. All grafts were harvested and placed by Dr. Vories, and full facial images were used with permission of the patient. Senior Member ontop Posted September 4, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted September 4, 2016 Dr Vories, if this patient came on here prior before he seen you many members including myself would give him a option to shave his head as this patient has almost perfect head shape for the shaven look & would work very well. So the patient decides to go down the HT route which is risky considering his level of MPB & proberly still very young, but looking what you did for this young chap with just 3k grafts is just amazing & if you can get another 2k grafts next time he be in a better place. long story short great job Dr Vories, I like this very much good planning indeed. Regular Member sivy28 Posted September 4, 2016 Regular Member Share Posted September 4, 2016 I agree its personal choice but if that were me id have shaved my head he has the perfect head shape for it, I though he looked better funny enough in the pictures with his hair cropped off . me I look crap, I tried the shaved look twice to try and get used to it but my headshape dosnt make it look good so having to pursue the HT route fingers crossed sivy

FollicularHomicide
Hi Dr. Vories, very nice result displayed above! I have similar norwood hair loss as the above patient and am interested in HT surgery but just beginning to learn about the process and different types of surgical procedures offered. Is it fairly easy to assess whether or not a client is a good candidate judging from photographs? Is the above patient's crown area expected to fill in more during the coming months, or will he need more grafts? Thank you!
Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted September 16, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted September 16, 2016 Very nice outcome for this patient and he looks thrilled.
