Regular Member Michael Vories, MD Posted June 29, 2016 Regular Member Share Posted June 29, 2016 This gentleman came into the clinic today for his six month follow up after receiving 1500 FUE grafts in his frontal forelock and hairline. He is not on medication due to stable pattern over the past 10 years. Because of his hair length we did not require a total clip down of the scalp, and harvested in patches that were covered by his long hair. A 0.85 Vortex serrounded punch was used for the extractions, and grafts were placed with Hans Lion Implanters. All grafts harvested and placed by Dr. Vories. Senior Member ontop Posted June 29, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted June 29, 2016 (edited) Amazing for just 1500 grafts but patient having good haiis characteristics definitely helped him & I guess this man is proberly in his 50s right? Which now he should be good to go for .many years to come. Dr Vories, did you inplant any grafts into the tuft area? reason why I ask you is that I have seen a few of your cases here of late that you try to stay clear of where there is still hair even though it looks like its on its way out. whats your thoughts on working inbetween hair which remains especially if its thinning out there also? Nevertheless this is a great outcome for both you & the patient. Edited June 29, 2016 by ontop edit
Regular Member Michael Vories, MD Posted June 29, 2016 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 29, 2016 His is actually 64- you are correct though, great hair for his age! We always review the grafting plan beforehand, with the limitation of 1500 grafts we decided the best use was in the hairline and apex regions. His frontal tuft is rather thin, but he has the option of addressing this in a future procedure. He is very happy for the time being with the surgical plan. Thanks for the comments! Senior Member ontop Posted June 29, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted June 29, 2016 Wow 64...thats a home run there. I wouldn't expect him back anytime soon unless he is really fussy. Great job again Dr Vories..
